We are forever grateful to all of our family for their support during the past year. We owe a special thank you to my mom, who finally got to go home today. She has spent more time in Seattle during the past five months than in Wibaux. Thank you for taking good care of Perrie and Isaac. We will miss you! And thank you to my dad for surviving on mostly chips and diet Coke this summer.

Priceless
It took a while, but our bill from 47 days at Seattle Children's finally rolled in. Any guesses?
This is what our insurance company was billed, but of course they pay much less. This does NOT include any of the physician charges though - each physician that worked with him has charged us separately...
Pharmacy $107,163
Supplies 14,324
Labs 107,049 (really?? over 100,000 worth of labs?)
Radiology 9,141
OR 150,268
Anesthesia 31,375
Blood 31,543
Imaging 25,910
Resp Services 36,000
Cardiology 131,422
Room 156,600
ICU 296,050
Medical 4,149
Diagnostics 3,896
Physical Therapy 775
Dialysis 24,876

Total $1,130,541
It's really quite silly. All of these charges from the hospital and the most important person during his hospital stay (the one who actually fixed his heart) charged only $6,000 for his surgery. Needless to say, we will be teaching Isaac to have a good job that has good health insurance.

4 months young
Isaac hit the 4-month mark this week. He is getting more interactive and more fun every day. He is very curious about his toys and exploring them with his hands and especially his mouth. His head and body control are better all of the time and he managed to roll over to his back this week. Happy 4-months, Isaac!
Showing off at tummy time.
Perrie at 4 months...
