Grandparents galore

Kristine (Perrie and Isaac's fabulous nanny), welcomed a new baby girl, Indiana, last month. Fortunately for us, she is coming back to have lots of baby fun at our house. While she is out, we are lucky to have nice grandparents who are willing to come to Seattle and fill in. We wish they lived just down the road, but I guess a plane flight away is going to have to be good enough for now.

First Day of School

This month, we decided to start Perrie in a preschool. She only goes two mornings a week, but it gives her a chance to make some new friends and learn some new school skills. She says, "I'm going to go to school all by myself!" What an exciting time. Nothing like a new baby to accentuate how grown up your old baby is getting!

Perrie is one silly imaginative little girl. She has grown a new obsession with ballet dancing. She watches YouTube videos of ballet moves and then tries to copy them. Last week, she got some "point shoes" -- now we have a ballet recital about every night. Someone has got to get this girl some real ballet lessons!

Labor Day

Over the holiday weekend, we enjoyed a visit from Grandma Jo and Grandpa Jim. Jo had not seen Isaac since just before his surgery, so this was a great visit for everyone! Weather in Seattle has been beautifully perfect for the past month and this weekend was no exception. We were sure to take advantage of the sun.

On Saturday, we all had a great hike up to Wallace Falls - a group of 3 waterfalls outside of Seattle. The weather was just right and it was great exercise -- especially Brandon with a wiggly two-year-old on his back!

We even got to share in Grandma Jo's birthday celebration while she was here. I believe that it was a big birthday too . . . 30 years old, right?

Perrie also has to thank aunt Mary Ann for one of her new favorites ... her apron. She has been wearing it daily since then. (Nice pose, Perrie.)

Summer

Just a random group of pictures from the past sunny week in Seattle. I'm back to work now so we had to enjoy the last few days of freedom!

Perrie says "Isaac is my BEST friend ever!" Let's hope so!

We had a bunch of friends over for a BBQ so that they could finally meet Isaac and we could finally meet their new baby. Gabriel is 5 days younger than Isaac. Future BFFs.

Gabriel also has an older sister, Daphne. The girls were in the pool escaping the heat.
