Lazy Day

We have had a busy couple of months here.  This weekend was our first weekend in a long time with NO plans.  Sometimes no plans is a nice break --- and is just as busy as a day full of plans!

Starting the day with a dutch baby ... yum.

This was Isaac's first meeting with Nutella - needless to say, he approves.

Do I have something on my eye?

ART time.  Thank you for the cool easel, Grandpa Jim & Grandma Jo!

STORY time -- this used to be Perrie's favorite book.

Now things start to get out of control.  Lots of chasing around and around and around...

Stop for one second...
and GO!!
 Can't beat a chair bridge...

And finally, our first ever attempt at "family movie time".  This lasted about 10 minutes.  We were watching a show about flightless New Zealand birds, getting ready for our big adventure (only 12 more days!).

Dance Show

Ever since we watched cousin Gigi dance in the Nutcracker in Glendive, Perrie has been having nightly dance shows on the "stage" at our house. We turn down the lights, put on some music, and watch Perrie and her "friends" put on a show. We go between tap and ballet, usually banging together measuring cups (if we're lucky). Poor Isaac joins right in on the fun.

In June, she really will be up on the big stage with her dance class and all of the big girls. She asks me about it almost every day: what kind of costume will I wear? Will you be watching in the crowd? What kind of dances will I do? Will I do more than one dance?  I have a feeling that she will get a little stage fright, but we'll see!

"Come on Isaac"
Jitterbug!
The Twist
Isaac can really shake his booty!

Isaac is really turning into a Perrie copycat.
Perrie's leg kick ...
AND Isaac's leg kick!

Interview with Perrie

Happy Birthday Perrie!
Time flies and now Perrie is 4!  She loves anything and everything with sparkles and this is a testament to her personality ... she is a little sparkle.  She is starting to ask some very smart questions -- this is my favorite so far:

P:  When I grow up, I want to marry Isaac.
