Barbados: Day 3 cont - East Coast

The east coast of the island is the windward side so unsafe to swim because of currents. Of course that makes it more attractive to the surfers. (Don't worry moms, we didn't swim)

The North Coast is the least inhabited and the dryest part of the island.

Barbados: Day 3 cont - West Coast

The west coast of Barbados is also called the gold coast. Sadly, I didn't get enough pictures from this side of the island. This is where you will find the fancy beachfront houses and hotels. This includes "Sandy Lane" - the site of Tiger Woods' fated wedding. A regular room there will set you back $28,000 per week (with a 2-week minimum at Christmas). Tiger rented out an entire wing of the resort to keep people away from his wedding. We aren't staying there. :) We did stop at a little beachfront bar/grill for a break, drink, and the tour food. Charlie claims that his sister-in-law makes the "best fish cakes on the island" ... I must admit, they probably are!
