Playground fun

There is a "5-year-old school" (as Perrie calls it) behind our house.  September has been particularly sunny so the school playground is a perfect destination for evening outings.  Perrie loves trying to meet new friends at the playground, and Isaac is happy as long as he has something to climb on.

SISTER!  I want that ball!

Isaac heads straight for the highbar.  Summer Olympics 2028, here we come!

and Perrie copies her little brother.

Isaac finally got that ball from his sister.

On the balance bike, ready to head home.  Perrie can really cruise on this bike these days.

See you tomorrow, playground!

OUTside

Now that summer has finally hit Seattle, the kids head love spending their time outdoors.  Now that Isaac is walking on his own, he heads straight for the back door when he gets up in the morning...

Blowing Bubbles

Playing football -- that is one cool move.

Working on a cooking project.

Comparing cars -- they are the same, kids.

Look Mom, it's an airplane!

Isaac grilling dinner.

And, of course, the mini-house supplies endless fun.

Ahh, sisterly love ...
... turns into a wrestling match.

July 2012 Update

Greetings friends and family,
I have been delinquent ... very delinquent.  So, in my attempt to keep this better updated --- enjoy these pictures from our last week.

Isaac and Perrie were playing so quietly under their mini-table.  Now I see why - yes, those are Big Bird stamps on his forehead.  Don't worry bud, you will be bigger than her soon enough.

Bathtime -- one of our favorite times around here.  I just can't get the two of them to stop drinking the bathwater - no matter how grossly I describe it.  ("bum-water" is my latest attempt - she still keeps drinking it.  gross)

Two exciting boxes have arrived for Perrie in the last couple of weeks - clothes from Gigi and dress-up clothes from Gma Elaine.  Thank you for the hours of fun!

Isaac started walking between people on his birthday, but didn't really decide to start walking by himself until this week.  Now we can't stop him.  Poor guy squints every time I take his picture -- makes it very hard to get a cute picture of him w/his eyes open!
