We're falling behind on our updates . . . guess we've had a busy August. Last weekend, we made a quick trip to Hamilton to visit some of my family. Oscar got to come along this time . . he just snores away in the backseat when we're driving. My parents also met us over there so we had lots of people to visit. The first picture is the three Hall men: my uncle Don, my grandpa, and my dad. It seems that my grandpa is pretty much all healed after the broken hip - back to weekly dances anyway.
Next is my dad & Oscar lounging in the shade. The weekend was really hot and we don't usually have such hot weather here in Seattle. So you can understand why Oscar was so excited when the sprinkler system came on. I don't think I've ever seen him so happy.

I have three cousins from that side of the family and they have a total of six kids. They never miss a chance to get together and we happened to be there for my cousin's bday party. The first picture is Brooke, my aunt Nancy, Jenny and me at the birthday party. The next picture is
Lindsey, my mom, and Taylor (they live in Idaho). As you can see there were lots of people to see, but we managed to cram it all into about 24 hours. Never long enough, but fun nonetheless.
WOULD YOU RATHER . . . be stranded on a mountain-top or on a deserted island . . . AND WHY?

The thought of being stranded completely freaks me out, but I'll go with mountain top - less chance of running into snakes?!?

There would be more food on an island, However, there would be the chance to walk out if on a mountain, So I guess I'd take the mountain. (have to run fast so as not to freeze to death)

I would have to pick Island for the crazy fact that I would rather be on Gilligan's Island than in the movie Alive where the soccer team crashes in the Andes and eat each other. More food on an island.
By the way, I'm an islander too. I could just pretend I'm on an exotic beach vacation. :) There's nothing exotic about a mountain.
I still dislike cold more than heat so I'd go for the island. By the way, the Hamilton pictures were great. I think you need sprinklers for Oscar. Jo-Mom
I would have to say I'm an island girl - I'm used to the heat! I would try to convince myself I was on vacation. I don't think I'd be able to handle the cold. Looks like you guys had a great time in MT - great pictures! I have an idea for a new "would you rather?": would you rather never drink coffee ever again or never drink any form of tea ever again? Be watching my blog - new pics to come - hopefully soon!
To those of you on the island -- I don't plan to STAY deserted.
