Perrie turns 3!

Today is our little girl's third birthday. People call the past year the "terrible twos", but I have to disagree. She has turned from a baby into a little girl right before our eyes. It has been great fun to see the world through her eyes. Today I tried to explain to her what a birthday means -- that conversation led to "where do babies come out"? (I artfully changed the subject.)

Some of my favorite pictures from the past year. (So many to choose from!)

First haircut!
You go, girl!
Easter egg hunt
So many good pictures, but this one is my favorite. This shows Perrie's personality to a T. Creative (she is a firefighter here, driving away in her fire truck), silly, happy . . .
Summer!

Fashionista.
Her photo tribute wouldn't be complete without a picture of Perrie kissing Isaac. He is never short on Perrie kisses - what a good big sister.
Perrie's famed dance move.

Posing for the camera.

"I'm Santa Claus!"
Trying not to smile on the carousel - that didn't last long!

Perrie is really "feeling" the music!
"We're going to the farm." (Someone should probably show her what a "farm hat" actually is.)
Playing with Dad
Not much better than a sunny, snowy Montana day.
Sledding with Sally.

We were lucky enough to be able to celebrate her birthday in Montana with our family. Perrie loves seeing her cousins and my mom makes a mean birthday cake -- perfect for a successful birthday party.

Seeing the cousins is definitely one of the highlights of our trip. We celebrated her birthday with Nelson (holding Isaac), Basil, & Giarratana. Jameson was missing on the birthday night - off living the busy life of a teenager!

Perrie's favorite books are "Olivia, the pig". She has them memorized, so when she is in bed at night, we can listen to her "reading" them to herself. "OLIVIA, I SAID NO JUMPING!"
Make a wish!

Opening presents - thank you everyone!
