Catching up ...

Our blog posts have been pretty scant lately, but I realized yesterday that this is the first weekend without plans since Thanksgiving. It is kind of a relief to have nothing to do (well, "nothing" is a relative term). So, rewind back to early November for this blog post.

I have some relatives that live south of Seattle, and we had the opportunity to help them celebrate my great-aunt (my grandpa Orville's sister) Audrey's 100th birthday. Longevity runs in both sides of my family! Even better, my mom and her two sisters reunited in Seattle for the party as well. We had a lot of fun catching up as we don't see them as often as we should. We saw many of my mom's cousins at Audrey's birthday party too. A great weekend!

Me and my 2 favorite kids.
With the birthday girl, Audrey
Jean, Carolyn & Elaine with their aunt Audrey
Isaac gets to meet great-aunt Carolyn ....
... AND great-aunt Jean!

This is just a "bonus" picture. Moka is our wonderful 14 (yikes)-year old cat. For the longest time, Perrie really disliked Moka in her room and has just recently warmed up to it. She says, "Now I am 3 and I like Moka in my room - when I was 2 I didn't." Well, that explains it.

Moka now getting to be in Perrie's room makes perfect sense, at least to Perrie. Auntie M
