Barbados: Day 1

Well, our adventure began last night when we boarded the red eye flight to Atlanta. We ate a bleary-eyed breakfast burrito in Atlanta and then on to Barbados. We landed around 1:00 this afternoon. Just in time for the boys to watch the last half of the horse races and for me to bask in the sun on the beach outside our hotel (as you can see - a self-portrait).

Thanks to our connection, we have a great hotel right on a beautiful beach. We headed to Oistins for dinner this evening. There is a large fish market and next door a whole bunch of food stands with outdoor seating. Once you choose a location (we picked Clarkson's Restaurant), you pick the type of fish and sides that you want. I had some delicious mahi mahi, sweet potatoes, and plantains ... yum. Off to bed for a new adventure tomorrow!
